Mary Ann Sutton-Parson was born June 20, 1964, to the parentage of Linda Sutton-Young and Clinton E. Henderson in Corsicana, Texas. She received her wings on May 9, 2019. Mary Ann graduated from Corsicana High School in 1982 where she was named the first black drum major for the CHS marching band.

She was awarded a Jim Collins Scholarship, which offered her a full ride to college. She attended Sam Houston State University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude receiving her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing. While attending SHSU, she became a member of the Kappa Mu Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc

She later earned her master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas. Shortly after graduating from SHSU, she began her career with State Farm Insurance. She later expanded her work experience with Alcatel-Lucent, Safety-Kleen, Dr. Pepper Snapple Group, Ericsson, Inc., and WRG, Inc. Mary Ann was baptized into Christ at an early age at the Eastside Church of Christ in Corsicana, Texas, under the leadership of the late Bro.

Willie Wilmore. After moving to Dallas, she moved her membership to Cliff View Church of Christ in Dallas, Texas, where she faithfully served in various ministries including the Ladies Ministry Class and the annual Fall Festival and Tailgate, just to name a few. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband Cedric Parson.

She leaves to cherish precious memories: her mother, Linda Sutton-Young (Kenneth) of Corsicana Texas; father, Clinton Henderson (Elaine) of Dallas TX; sisters: Terri Smith (Steve) of Dallas, TX, Carla Clark (Robert) of Mansfield, TX, Sharla Sutton-Campbell of Dallas, TX, and Erica Nicole Henderson of Dallas, TX; brother, Fredrick Henderson of Dallas, TX; aunts: Mary Lee Johnson, (Robert) of Corsicana, TX, Evelyn Walker (Robert) of Sonora, CA, Joyce Sanders of Dallas, TX, Iretha Bradford of Temecula, CA, and Laura Cunningham of Ennis, TX; uncles: Ricky Sutton (Roslyn) of Dallas, TX, Freddie Richardson of Dallas, TX, and Randall Henderson (Felita) of Houston, TX; nephew, Jared Morgan of Atlanta, GA; nieces: Sheridan Smith “Sheri-T” of Dallas, TX, Triniti Smith “Lynn” of Dallas, TX, and Yancey Clark “CeCe” of Mansfield, TX; cousins: Rhonda Smith (Cubia) of Arlington, TX, Craig Carroll, (Dhamahi) of West Bloomfield, MI, Roderick Sutton (Nicole) of Dallas, TX, Roshunda Hill (Damian) of Duncanville, TX, and Wesley Johnson (Melissa) of New Orleans, LA; special friends: Deborah Curry of Dallas, TX, Serena Wright of Houston, TX, Denise Johnson of Ft.
