Obituary for Mary Catherine Shows Mary Catherine Shows, born February 13, 1927 in Alabama, passed away on October 2, 2018 at the age of 91. Funeral services will be held at Franklin United Methodist Church on Sunday, October 7th at 2 p.m. with visitation prior to the service at 1 p.m. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Mt. Olive Methodist Church Cemetery, Hwy 29 South, Ellisville, MS.

Rev. Paul Roller and Rev. Rodney Smith will officiate.

Mrs. Shows was a member of Franklin United Methodist Church and taught school prior to her retirement. She loved her family and enjoyed cooking, reading, singing in the choir, traveling, gardening and bird watching. She was preceded in death by her husband, O. Harold Shows; parents, George and Rachel Oglesby Turks; sister, Carolyn Swartz; brother, George Turk; granddaughter, Melissa Shows and great granddaughter, Stefany Tulo.

Survivors include three sons, Stephen H. Shows of Hattiesburg, Neil Shows (Pam) of Baton Rouge, LA, and Joel Shows (Angela) of Madison; two daughters, Cathy S. Coleman (George) of Mobile, AL and Elizabeth “Liz” Russell (Steve) of Laurel; eleven grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and one brother, John “Noel” Turk of San Diego, CA.
