MARY ELMA SAGER, 85, of Springfield passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018 at her residence. She was born December 11, 1932 in Norwalk, Ohio, the daughter of the late Elmer and Josephine (Thayer) Kamps. Survivors include her two daughters, Diane (Robert) VanHook of Springfield and Linda (Eric) Schlensker of North Carolina; three grandchildren, Deborah (David) Hall, Jessica VanHook and Richard (Jenni) VanHook and one great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Hall.

She was preceded in death by her… Read More » husband, Richard L. Sager in 1982; two sisters, Emma O’Neil and Joyce Gerrick and one brother, Leonard Kamps. A memorial mass will be held on Monday, November 12, 2018 at 10 am in the St. Raphael Church, 225 E. High St., Springfield with Fr. Bill Kramer officiating.

Inurnment will follow in Terre Haute Cemetry. Memorial gifts may be made to the Springfield SPCA or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Association. You may express condolences to the family at www.
