RENATE MARIE ROLAND, 75, of Springfield passed away Sunday, November 25, 2018. She was born July 21, 1943 in Neuses, Germany, the daughter of the late Albert and Minne (Hofmann) Gilmer. She was a retired seamstress and lived a good life together with her beloved husband.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Ted W. Roland and one brother, Herbert Gilmer. She was preceded in death by one sister, Hilga Lenze. Per Renate’s wishes there will be no services.
