Darrell Bartley, 87, of Florida, formerly of Springfield, passed away on November 9, 2018. He was born on January 10, 1931, in Springfield, the son of the late James and Ruth (Sellers) Bartley. Darrell was an Eagle Scout and was part of the first troop established at Trinity Lutheran Church.

He was a member of the St. Andrews Lodge F&AM, Fraternal Order of Deputy Sheriffs Association, Fraternal Order of Eagles 397 Aerie, Moose Lodge and several bowling leagues. Darrell also enjoyed being… Read More » outside, boating and fishing. He retired from Navistar in 1990.

Darrell was a lifetime member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. He is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Pierson of Florida, sons: Terry (Patricia) Bartley of Oklahoma, and Darwin (Lori) Bartley of Arizona; sister, Joan Kaiser of Springfield and brother, Dwain Bartley of Springfield. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty J. (Pitzer) Bartley, and one sister, Charlene Smith.

Private services will be held at Rose Hill Mausoleum Chapel. Memorial contributions may be sent to the donor’s favorite charity.
