Donald Wilbur Tyree, 88, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2018. He was born on September 14, 1930, in Springfield the son of the late Albert and Eva (Jones) Tyree. Don graduated from Springfield High School and Bowling Green State University.

Additionally, he served our country in the United States Navy. Don taught in the Mad River Local School System for 25 years. He was a longtime member of the First Lutheran Church where enjoyed serving and singing in the choir.

He is survived by his three children: Roger (Kelly) Tyree, David (Margie) Tyree and Susan Tyree; five grandchildren: Daniel, Ryan, Fiona, Amanda and Holly; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Sarah Jane Tyree in 2016, one brother, Robert Tyree, and four sisters: Mary Alice Cummins, Ruby Gray, Ruth McKeever and Verna Harris.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, November 2nd from 5-7:00 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME where a Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Alyssa Mazzei officiating. Burial will follow in the Ferncliff Cemetery. Online expressions of sympathy may be sent through www.
