HAROLD O. STEVENSON, 92, of Springfield passed away on Monday, November 12th, 2018 at Friends Care Assisted Living. He was born December 7th, 1925 in Clark County, Ohio the son of Homer S. and Mable (Folck) Stevenson. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church.

Harold obtained an Eagle Scout ranking and went on to become a scout leader for Boy Scouts of America Troop #1. He was an owner and operator H.S. Stevenson & Sons/Rogers Oil Company for many years. He was a veteran… Read More » serving his country in the United States Navy.

He volunteered for the Springfield Township #1 as a fireman. He was a member of The Anthony Lodge #455 F&AM. Harold was very active and had many hobbies, he was a private pilot and enjoyed bowling and golfing.

Harold and Phyllis loved being involved with their grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law. Deb and Larry Dasher of Springfield; a brother, Carl F. Stevenson of Springfield; four grandchildren: Randy (Julie) Dasher of Springfield, Mindy (Andy) Babian of Reno, Nevada, Heidi Stevenson of Columbus and Brian( Eileen) Stevenson of Springfield; five great-grandchildren: Nate, Rachel, Aaron and John Babian and Brantley; a daughter-in-law, Joy Stevenson of Springfield and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 70 years, Phyllis Stevenson who passed in July and one son, Douglas G. Stevenson. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, November 16th, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME, SPRINGFIELD. The funeral service will follow at noon on Friday with Pastor Brian Borton officiating .

Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Friends Care Community, 150 E. Herman St., Yellow Springs, 45387or Vitas Health Care, 3055 Kettering Blvd. #400, Moraine, Ohio 45439.
