Shirley O. “Mrs. H.” Hickinbotham, 80, of Springfield, passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018. She was born on October 30, 1938, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of the late E. J. and Margaret S. (Washburn) Moshier. Shirley retired as Latchkey Supervisor with Northridge Schools after over 20 years.

She also sold Avon for 40 years. She enjoyed casinos, bingo, bowling and sewing. Shirley was proud to be in the Civil Air Patrol during the 1970’s.

She is survived by her husband David Hickinbotham… Read More » of 45 years, her son Jim (Mindy) Ake, seven grandchildren: Erin, Caleb (Jasemine), Michael, Kristen, Colton, Garrett and Kassie, and six great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her son, Charles “Chuck” William Ake III. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 5-7:00 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.

Private services will be held in Ferncliff Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio Hospice.
