MARLENE J. PEYTON, 83, of South Charleston passed away October 2, 2018 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born June 22, 1935 in Medway, Ohio, the daughter of the late Howard F. and Lena M. (Jones) Johns. She retired from Tommy Peyton Electric as Co-Owner and Bookkeeper with 35 plus years of service.

Marlene enjoyed gardening, traveling, shopping and reading. Survivors include two daughters, Sandra (David) R. Dalton and Brenda G. Peyton and two grandchildren, Joshua M. Dalton and Ashley… Read More » N. Dalton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar T. Peyton in 2011; one brother, Carlton Ray Johns in 2011; one daughter, Deborah L. Peyton in 1970 and one son, Gene Peyton in 2007.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, October 8, 2018 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will begin at 1:30 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Jim Britton officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Burial Park.
