Mary was born to David Alexandria Skinner Sr. and Mary Frances Gunn Skinner on May 4, 1927. She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, David, Thomas and Harvey Skinner; and sister, Elizabeth Lafoon.

She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Mary C. Skinner and Barbara C. Skinner; two nephews, Tom Skinner (Darla) and Chris Skinner (Lee Ann); and two nieces, Diane Weaver (James) and Vicki Skinner. Mary was very active in her churches, both Southside Baptist and Southampton Baptist, and loved doing things with her church friends and family. She retired from Philip Morris USA after many years of service.

A funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 1, at the Central Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 3215 Cutshaw Ave. , with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be private.
