Mary Harvey July 02, 1953 – January 18, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card On Thursday, January 17th, 2019 the lord our savior called home our beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother Mary A. Harvey. She was born July 2nd, 1953 in Lexington County, NC to the union of the late Julia Mae Hester and Oscar Harvey. Mary attended Alamance Public School when she graduated and started to further her education.

Her persistence lead her to move to Baltimore, MD with her late Clyde Hester and complete the following accomplishments; a masters degree in music, certified E.M.T., medical assistant, and a B.A. degree in computer programming. Growing up with nine sisters ( Sarah, Deloris, Eunice (Randy), Faye, Kay (Andre), Hickman, Essie, Bronma, and Ruth). Two brothers ( Calvin and the late Charlie Harvey) she was often the life of any party.

She enjoyed singing for anyone anytime anywhere if asked and around the house as she make her famous Rum Cakes. She gave life to two sons ( Jenard Sr. and Tyrone Jackson) of Baltimore, MD. She enjoyed working in the medical field to assist others and she said the pay was nice.

Working at several hospitals ranging from John Hopkins to the MD Dept. of Corrections Medical Ward. In 2000 she married Michael Anderson, and later throughout the years assisted in the marriages of both her sons and was present to share the birth of all her grandchildren.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Julia and Oscar Harvey, and one brother Charlie Harvey. Treasured memories will remain with her devoted husband Michael Anderson, two sons (Jenard Sr. & Tyrone Jackson), two daughter-in-laws (Tonia & Chante Jackson), Nine grand children ( Jernard Jr. , JeNeah, Marquel, Kiyah, Miricle, Jailah, Jhaitrae, Jhaeleah, and Trinity of MD, nine sisters of NC, one brother of NC and a host of nieces and nephews.
