Obituary for Mary Helen Wall (Armstrong) Calhoun City—Mary Helen Wall, 92, entered into her Heavenly home from Baptist Memorial Nursing Home in Calhoun City on Tuesday, November 20, 2018. Born February 19, 1926 in Calhoun County, she was the daughter of the late Lee Roy Armstrong and the late Millie Effie Patterson Armstrong. Mary graduated from Bruce High School in 1944, and married Doyle Stroup later that same year.

After his passing, she would find love again with Milton Wall. They were married in 1985 and were together for almost 30 years until his passing in 2012. She loved gardening and fishing, and she loved to travel and be on the go.

She and Milton enjoyed taking the camper down to the lake on Memorial Day, and staying until Labor Day weekend. Her family remembers how she always kept the park rangers fed. Mary touched many lives as she was a caring and giving woman.

She will be missed dearly by all who knew her, but her memories will live on forever in their hearts. Pryor Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Wall family. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held Friday, November 23, 2018, at 11:00am at Pryor Funeral Home.

There will also be a visitation on Friday, November 23, 2018 from 10:00am until service time at the funeral home. Bro. Robert Alexander will be officiating.

Interment will follow at Old Town Cemetery in Bruce. She leaves behind her grandchildren, Shane (Donna) Stroup, Lisa Stroup Smith of Searcy, AR, Scott (Dee) Stroup of Grenada, Tammy (Wesley) Hill of Scobey, MS, Donna McRee of Grenada, Donnie Stroup of Grenada, Angela Ables of Grenada, and Teresa (Bert) Cruz of Leesburg, GA; 25 great-grandchildren, 18 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Doyle Durrent Stroup, second husband, Milton Wall, two sons, James LeDoyle Stroup and Jerry Howell Stroup; a brother, Durwood Armstrong, and a great-great grandson, Will Bright.
