Mary Jo (Plymale) Moore went home to be with her Lord on September 9, 2018. Born on February 15, 1929 in Huntington, West Virginia to Marie Staley and Camden Plymale, she graduated Huntington East High School and attended the Bible Baptist Institute (now Cedarville University) in Cleveland, Ohio. She married her husband, Charles E. Moore in 1946.

They were married for 52 ½ wonderful years. Together they had four children, Rosemarie Davis of Nashville, Tennessee, Rev. Jonathan Moore (Paulette) of Boardman, Ohio, Rebecca Elaine (deceased), Charles David (deceased).

She leaves six grandchildren, Kenny (Julie) Davis, Lucas (Jordan) Moore, Matthew (Krista) Moore, Jessica Moore, Tori Moore, Jason Moore, and seven great grandchildren, Michael, Jordan, Dominic Davis, Wren, Locke Moore, Max, Alena Moore. She is survived by her brother, Robert Lee Plymale and wife, Catherine, of Proctorville, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews. Her parents, husband, 2 children, and 2 brothers, Dwight Staley and Jay Camden Plymale, preceded her in death.

She served with her husband, a Baptist pastor, in churches in Ohio, North Carolina, Missouri, and Illinois. They also served a short term as missionaries to Liberia, West Africa. She was a concert pianist who wrote and published the Mary Jo Moore Piano Course.

She taught piano lessons for over 60 years and was organist for Becker Funeral Homes for 13 years. She was the author of several poem books and musical cantatas. She moved to Nashville to live with her daughter in 2003 and was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church.

She would like to be remembered as someone who loved her Lord Jesus Christ, Who is worthy of all our praise and adoration. Visitation will be Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 10 until 11:45 a.m. with a funeral service to follow at noon at Davidson- Becker Funeral Home, 11 Spring Street, Struthers, Ohio, with the Rev. Jonathan Moore officiating.

Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Boardman, Ohio.
