Mary K. Schaab, 89, of Rock Island, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at UPH-Trinity, Rock Island. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, May 7, 2018 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Ave. , Rock Island.

Visitation will be 10:00 am until service time. Burial will be at Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family, with an organization to be chosen at a later date.

Mary was born on August 11, 1928 in Kewanee, IL, the daughter of Clark and Mary “Pauline” (O’Connor) Cook. She married Harold J. Schaab on February 5, 1949 in Rock Island. Mary enjoyed bowling, casinos, and playing cards.

She dearly loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mary is survived by her husband of 69 years, Harold Schaab, Rock Island; children, Marsha (Russell) Marcellus, Rock Island, Michael (Pebbles) Schaab, Rock Island, and Marla (Larry) Rudsell, Aledo; grandchildren, Lindsay (Teddy) Storm, Katie (Bryan) Kimbrell, Morgan Stoever, Joshua Schaab, Jennifer (Chris) Allison, Katie and JZ Zimmerman; and great grandchildren, Hayley, Myley, Dusty, Roman, Mila, and Cooper. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Mark H. Schaab; and sister, Barbara Schaab.
