Mary Lou Smith, 77 of Utica, went to her Heavenly home on Friday, May 25, 2018 at Rockcastle Regional Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky. She was born March 12, 1941 in Lake City, Tennessee to the late Marlin and Anna Delozier Cleveland.

Mrs. Smith was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. Mary worked at Beatty’s shoe store in the mid 1980’s; before she went to work at Walmart, where she worked as a department manager for 11 years and later retired. She had a love for laughter, enjoyed cooking for her family and more recently, communicating with her friends on facebook.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 59 years, Charles Smith of Utica; two children, Jeff (Jennifer) Smith of Utica and Tina (Chris) Reed of Evansville, Indiana; her sister, Judy Rowe of Beaver Dam and one brother, Larry (Barbara) Cleveland of Lexington. Mary was blessed with four granddaughters, Miranda, Summer, Cassie and Anna; one great-grandson, Alex and three step-grandchildren, Kristina, Brandon and Sarah. Private Family Services will be held on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam.
