Mary Madeline Tredway, 96, of Oxford, passed away Friday, February 8, 2019. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 16th at the Oxford Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Arkansas City.

Visitation will be Friday, February 15th from 1:00 until 8:00 P.M. with family receiving friends from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Rivercross Hospice, donations may be left in care of the Oxford Funeral Service – P.O. Box 123 Oxford, KS 67119. Madeline was born June 17, 1922, the daughter of Mort and Bertha (Sweet) Dwyer in Cambridge, Kanas.

Madeline was united in marriage to Roy Tredway on May 3, 1941. She was a cook for the Winfield hospital as well as a cook for the Oxford School District. Madeline enjoyed sewing, crafts, spending time with friends and especially loved her family.

Madeline is survived by her children: David (Wanda) Tredway of Fairhope, Alabama; Bill (Vickie) Tredway of Oxford; Sheila (Mike) Harden of El Dorado; 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, great-granddaughters Kathrine “Kat” Tredway and Emily Tredway; siblings: Flossie, Avis, her twin sister Maxine, Vernon and Billy Joe.
