Obituary for Mary Matthias Igoe Sr. Mary Matthias Igoe, 95, Missouri passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018 at Our Lady of Rickenbach Benedictine Convent of Perpetual Adoration in Clyde, Missouri. Sr. Mary Matthias was born on March 11, 1923 in St. Louis, Missouri to John and Anastasia (Fisher) Igoe. She attended St. Leo’s Catholic School and graduated from Rosati-Kain High School.

She graduated from Fontbonne College St. Louis, St. Louis University, and St. Marys College, Notre Dame where she received her Doctorate in Sacred Doctrine. She entered the Benedictine Sister of Perpetual Adoration on August 10, 1951. She made her first profession of vows on February 24, 1953 and was given the name Sister Mary Matthias Igoe.

Her final profession of vows on March 13, 1958. She is survived by her Monastic family and one niece, Jackie Harris and nephew, Lt. Col.

Arthur Hayes. Wake will be held at 7pm Sunday, March 25th at Our Lady of Rickenbach, Clyde, Missouri. Mass of Christian Burial 8am Monday, March 26th at the Monastery Chapel, Clyde, Missouri with burial following at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
