Mary Parris Hartley, 80, 0f Marietta passed away February 11, 2019. She was born March 14, 1938 on Holland Street, just a few blocks from the Marietta Square. Her childhood was spent playing at her grandparents small home on Kennesaw Avenue and areas around Kennesaw Mountain.

She graduated from MHS in 1957 and married her high-school sweetheart on Valentines Day the following year. (They were married for 54 years) She was devoted to life as a home maker and mother and also spent time working in office administration and as a certified nursing assistant. Upon retirement she and her husband enjoyed traveling with friends, dining out and shopping at estate sales .

She is preceded in death by her parents Boyd and Ola Parris, brothers Robert Parris and Arnold Parris, Husband Howard Hartley and daughter Cindy Hartley. She is survived by her son Joe Hartley of Marietta, brother in-law James Hartley and his wife Evelynn (Barco) Hartley of Tampa, Florida, and many nieces and nephews she dearly loved. A private family internment will be held.
