Obituary for Mary R. Etherton GREENS FORK, Ind. – Mary R. Etherton, age 69, of Greens Fork, Indiana, died Sunday, November 11, 2018, at Reid Health. Born August 10, 1949, in New Castle, Indiana, to James and Mary Forkner Henley, Mary was a life-long resident of Wayne County.

She graduated from Cincinnati Bible College, and then married her college sweetheart, Joe. Mary enjoyed singing and playing music, playing card games, going on family vacations, and playing, loving, and visiting with her three granddaughters. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, particularly during the holiday season.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Joe Etherton; daughter, Becky Etherton (Troy) Cool of Greens Fork; granddaughters Elizabeth, Emma, and Elaina Cool; brothers, James (Janice) Henley of Richmond, Indiana, and Walter (Carolyn) Henley of Greens Fork; brothers-in-law, Jim (Debbie) Etherton of West Liberty, Ohio, and John (Cathy) Etherton of West Virginia; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation for Mary R. Etherton will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at New Testament Church of Christ, 752 West Main Street, Hagerstown.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 15, 2018, at New Testament Church of Christ with Pastor Paul Gearhardt officiating. Burial will be in Greens Fork South Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
