Obituary for Ronald D. Cooper RICHMOND, Ind. – Ronald D. Cooper, age 83, of Richmond, Indiana, died Friday, December 28, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family. Born June 18, 1935, in Bridgeport, Illinois, to Hubert and Doris Seed Cooper, Ron had lived in this community since 1966.

He was a 1953 graduate of Bridgeport High School. Ron retired from Belden in 1996, after 31 years of service and had formerly farmed with his parents and worked in the oil fields in Illinois. He enjoyed camping; fishing; riding his motorcycle, including being a former member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association; and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Mary Marion Cooper; daughter, Debbie (Sal) Greco of Orlando, Florida; son, Ronald Douglas Cooper of New Paris, Ohio; stepchildren, Richard, Douglas, Ed, John, and Timothy Venable, Nila Cones, and Janel Lee; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren, with one on the way; sister, Gwen Groves of Illinois; brothers, Phillip Cooper of Richmond and Dale (Sue) Cooper and Gary (Debbie) Cooper, both of Illinois; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Gregory Allen Cooper and parents. Visitation for Ronald D. Cooper will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 3, 2019, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor Martin Holman officiating. Condolences may be sent to the family via the guest book at www. doanmillsfuneralhome.com.
