Obituary for Julie Elaine Brooks RICHMOND, Ind. – Julie Elaine Brooks, age 53, of Richmond, Indiana, passed away Friday, November 2, 2018, at Reid Health. Born January 16, 1965, in Richmond, Indiana, to Darrell Lee and Karen Elaine Davis Brooks, Julie was a life-long resident of Wayne County.

She was a 1983 graduate of Centerville High School. Julie retired from Richmond State Hospital after 13 years of service and had formerly worked at Johns Manville. She enjoyed sports, including playing baseball and softball; cooking; decorating; and spending time with her grandkids.

Survivors include her fiancé, Michael Owens of Richmond; children, Cory (Lindsay) Owens and Michaela (James) Meyers, both of Richmond; grandchildren, Kinleigh, Colton, Jaxon, Connor, Jayden, Jayedah, Alaki, Kingston, and Cayden; sister, Lori Brooks of Richmond; brothers, Mark Brooks of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Rodney Brooks of Iowa; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Bentli Owens; parents; and brother, Jeff Davis. Visitation for Julie Elaine Brooks will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2018, at Mills Funeral Home, 405 East Main Street, Centerville.
