Mary Ross Spoon, 96, of Fishersville and formerly of Roanoke, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, July 19, 2018, at Augusta Health, Fishersville. She was born in North Carolina on June 7, 1922, daughter of the late Lester Earl Ross and Sarah Wallace Holland Lester. She was formerly a member of Fleming Chapel in Roanoke.

Mary loved the Lord and her entire life was wrapped around her husband and her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Spoon; infant daughter, Mary Louise Spoon; her grandson, Charles Winstead; one brother, Edward and one sister, Evelyn. Survivors include her children, Larry Spoon and his wife, Bonnie of Fishersville, Virginia, Linda K. Talent of Kingsport, Tennessee, Marshall Spoon and his wife, Jackie of Allisonia, Virginia, and David Spoon and his wife, Lynn of Deland, Florida; her grandchildren, Ross and his wife, Jungmen, Corrie, Robert and wife, Vicki, Johnathan and wife, Veronica, Simon and wife, Ashley, Ryan and wife, Denise, Jason and wife, Kate, Christopher, Shea and Anna; her great-grandchildren, Danielle, Rachel and Joseph, Haven, Saige and Ryker, Mara and Paige and Jaida, Jaron, Jacie and Jonah.

Family and friends will assemble for the funeral at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 28, 2018, at the Mausoleum in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens, 7271 Cloverdale Road, Roanoke, Virginia 24019, conducted by Mark Fitzgerald. Share memories and condolences at www. charltonandgroomefuneralhome.com.
