Mary Sue Ellen Carlile April 16, 1941 – October 01, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers Send Sympathy Gifts View/Sign Guest Book| Send Sympathy Card Mary Sue Ellen Carlile, 77, of Newcastle, died Monday, October 1, 2018, at her home. The daughter of Herman Leslie Huffhines and Edna Ruth (Carr) Huffhines, she was born April 16, 1941 in Blanchard, Oklahoma. Mary Sue grew up in Oklahoma City and graduated from Grant High School in 1958.

She married Jay C. Carlile on April 17, 1959 in Oklahoma City and they moved to Newcastle in 1969. Mary Sue worked for Western Electric and Lucent Technologies until her retirement in 1997. She was a member of the Bethesda Assembly of God in Oklahoma City, IBEW Union, and Telephone Pioneers.

In her spare time, she enjoyed going to Branson, shopping on the internet, collecting various things, and was a huge Elvis fan. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 48 years, Jay C. Carlile; two sisters, Naomi Ward and Jody Hale; and one brother Hack Huffhines. Mary Sue is survived by four children, Dana Warner and her husband, John, of Bridge Creek, Eddie Carlile and his wife, Lynn, of Newcastle, John Carlile and his wife, Buffi, of Del City, and Marlene Ashcraft of Newcastle; six grandchildren, Misty Morvay, LaTisha Jaworsky, Jessica White, Tamara Brown, Heather Justine, and Gary Carlile; numerous great grandchildren; one brother, Eugene Huffhines and his wife, Pat, of Yukon; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, October 5, 2018 at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home in Blanchard.
