Maryann Winicki, age 87, was reunited with her beloved husband, Robert “Bob”, on Wednesday, March 20, 2019. She was born May 11, 1931 in Muskegon to John and Helen (Pamer) Stuparits and was a life resident of the area. On January 28, 1956, she married Robert J. Winicki in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on January 23, 2017 – just one week shy of their 63rd anniversary.

Maryann worked over 25 years for J.C. Penney. She enjoyed golfing and playing cards. She was very involved with her grandchildren’s many sporting events and was very proud to have become a great-grandma with the birth of her first great-grandson, Aaron.

Maryann was an avid fan of the Michigan Wolverines and the Detroit Tigers. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. Maryann was also active with the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court 799, the Catholic War Veterans Women’s Auxiliary and the Disabled American Veterans Women’s Auxiliary.

Survivors include her children, Debra (Kevin) Bedwin, Robert M. (Kathy) Winicki, Greg (Rosemary) Winicki; 6 grandchildren, Heather Bedwin, Kaylan (Jacob) Vink, Ryan, Shannon, Kendra, and Austin Winicki; great-grandson, Aaron Robert Vink; 1 sister, Rosalie Russell; 2 sisters-in-law, Lottie Stuparits, Carol (Joseph) Firlet; 2 brothers-in-law, Kenneth Winicki, Jerry (Sue) Winicki; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother, John Stuparits. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Saturday, March 30, 2019 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church (1716 Sixth Street) with Rev.

Charles D. Hall presiding. Visitation will be held one hour prior to Mass, 10-11AM Saturday at the church. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
