Mattie “Christie” Christine Bounds, age 69, a resident of Brandon, passed away on Monday, April 23, 2018. A Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 10:00 am from Ott and Lee Funeral Home, Brandon with visitation from 9:00 am until 9:45 am. Graveside services will be at 2:00pm at Middleton United Methodist Church Cemetery in Louisville, MS.

Christie was born in Natchez on August 18, 1948, to the late Wallace Paul Latham and Mattie Laird Latham. She was a Jehovah Witness who loved to read, study, and listen to the Bible. She enjoyed gardening and fishing.

Christie is survived by her husband of 42 years, Hiram M. Bounds; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa Bounds McKellar and Lindley McKellar III; grandson, Gabriel Burgess; and a host of other relatives and friends.
