Maud’s Obituary Maud (Howard) Harke, 93, of Clay passed away peacefully on Thursday. She was born and raised in Hastings graduating from Central Square High School. She has been a resident of Clay since the 1940’s.

Maud was employed at Woolworths Department store in Syracuse prior to working as a Cafeteria Aide for over 16 years at various schools, retiring from the Liverpool Central School District. She was an active member for many years of Faith Journey United Methodist Church in Clay, formerly Trinity United Methodist Church. Maud is predeceased by her husband Harvey B. Harke, Sr. in 1990, one sister and four brothers.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her two sons, Harvey (Fran) B. Harke, Jr. of Central Square and Harry (Donna) H. Harke of Clay, 2 granddaughters, Jessica Parker (Fiancé, David Burgess) and Erica (Ryan) Lachac, 7 Great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 20, 2019 from 4 to 7 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Rt 31 Baldwinsville. Funeral services will be on Tuesday morning at 11:00 am at the funeral home with burial to follow in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay.
