Mervin Terrill “Terry” Miles, 54, died Monday, July 30, 2018, at Lake Marion Nursing Facility in Summerton, after a brief illness. Funeral services will be 4:00 PM, Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton, with burial to follow at Sandy Bay Cemetery, Kingstree. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 PM, Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at the funeral home.

Mr. Miles was born on June 20, 1964 in Williamsburg County, son of Mervin Laverne Miles and Judy Matthews Miles. He was a graduate of Kingstree High School and attended First Free Will Baptist Church, Kingstree. Terry was a supervisor at Nan Ya Plastics Corp and was a member of the Sandy Bay Hunting Club.

He was a devoted Dad and Poppy and shared a very special bond with his son, Matthew. He enjoyed Nascar, football, cooking and spending time with his family and lifelong friends. Surviving are his wife, Anette Miles of Cades; son, Matthew Miles and Kerry (Kristy) Coker, both of Cades; grandchildren, Kathryn Coker, Nathan Coker, Allyson Coker and Karson Coker; brother, Greg E. (Cindy) Miles and David L. Miles, both of Kingstree; and sister, Charlene (Tony) McCrea of Kingstree.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Lake Marion Nursing Facility for their excellent care during his illness.
