Michael “Mike” A. Berger, age 57, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Creekside Village in Mishawaka, IN. He was born on August 31, 1961 in South Bend, IN, to Wilfred A. and Virginia J. (Cramer) Berger, both of whom preceded him in death. On October 15, 1983 in Mishawaka, Mike married the former Patricia A. Willard, his wife of 35 years who survives.

In addition to his wife, Mike is survived by his son, Allen A. Berger of Granger; six sisters, Kristine Wynn of Dayton, OH; Gail (Daniel) Papczynski of Lakeville, IN; Denise (Brian) VanAvermaete of Hudson, OH; Susan (Gerard) Boocher of South Bend; Judith (Mark) Swoverland of Mooresville, IN; Deborah (Eric) Harrold of Avon, IN; and two brothers, Andrew Berger of Granger, and Michael (Jennifer) Graveel of South Bend; father- and mother-in-law, Arthur and Arlene Willard of Granger; sisters-in-law, Pam (Dale) Weaver of Granger, and Peggy (John) Kraft of Granger; several nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and -nephews. In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his sister, Kathleen Berger, and his step-mother, Katherine Berger. Mike was employed as a production worker in the manufactured housing industry for several years.

He was also employed at Galaxy 1 (dish installation), prior to joining his wife Patti as co-owner of Proforma Graphic Concepts Group. He attended St. Pius X Catholic Church in Granger. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30am on Friday, January 25, 2019 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 52553 Fir Road, Granger.

Graveside services and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery in South Bend. The family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00pm, with rosary at 7:30pm, on Thursday, January 24th at Palmer Funeral Home—Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend. Additional visitation will be held at the church from 10:30-11:30am prior to Mass on Friday.
