Michael Dane Kirkley, 70, of Wills Point went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, April 20, 2018 in Greenville. Memorial services celebrating Michael’s life will be held at 3:30 P.M. on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at Lakeview Church in Quinlan with Pastor Adam Williams officiating. Michael was born on January 3, 1948 in Dallas, Texas.

He is the son of the late John Paul and Juanita Short Kirkley. He was raised and educated in Pleasant Grove. Michael married Miss Joyce Elaine Ray on July 2, 1979 in Dallas.

They moved to the Lake Tawakoni community in 2000. Michael lived with Parkinson’s disease for the last 20 years. He has belonged to Lakeview Church since arriving in the area.

Michael was also preceded in death by his brother Ronald Kirkley. Many knew him as “The Knifeman” as he was well known for selling knives on the corner! He enjoyed music and enjoyed writing songs, he was an avid Wii player.

He truly loved talking to people and interacting with them. He is loved and will be missed by his wife Joyce Kirkley; daughters Anissa Posina and Janette Taylor and son Larry Hogan; and eight grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.
