Michael David Arbaugh, 53, of Lineboro, MD died unexpectedly on Monday, April 23, 2018 at his home. Born November 2, 1964 in Carroll County, he was the son of the late Francis Eli and Theda Louise (Wike) Arbaugh. Mike worked in construction as a heavy equipment operator and supervisor.

He was employed for 30 years by the C.J. Miller Inc. in Hampstead and for 4 years by Easy Dig Excavating in Jacobus, PA. He was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, kayaking, collecting guns and riding his motorcycle. He was a member of the Littlestown Fish and Game Club.

Mike was also a member of Lazarus United Church of Christ in Lineboro. He was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins and the Baltimore Orioles. More than anything, Mike loved spending time with his family, especially his sons and granddaughters, whom he loved with all of his heart.

Surviving are his sons, Eli Jackson Arbaugh of Westminster and Joshua Wade Berryman of Harrisonburg, VA; granddaughters, Reagan Leigh and Jade McKinnley Arbaugh; sisters, Kathy Arbaugh of Westminster, Bonnie Thomas of Union Bridge and Becky Hostuttler of Hanover, PA; brothers, Pete and Charlie Arbaugh of Hanover, PA; and many nieces and nephews. He is also remembered by his devoted friend and companion, Audrey Warren of Lineboro. He was predeceased by a son, Michael Dylan Arbaugh and a sister, Belinda “Binky” Fisher.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the Meadow Branch Church of the Brethren, 818 Old Taneytown Rd. , Westminster, MD, with Pastor Rodney Gross officiating. Interment will follow in Meadow Branch Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to help defray funeral expenses may be made to MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 91 Willis St., Westminster, MD 21157.
