HUBBARD Memorial services will be held on Monday September 24, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Hubbard with Pastor Luke Oskin officiating for Michael “Rocky” Bretz, 72, who died Wednesday afternoon September 19, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born November 7, 1945 in Youngstown a son of Ralph and Betty Ducay Bretz and moved to Hubbard in 1958. Mr. Bretz, a 1963 graduate of Hubbard High School was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hubbard.

He was the Owner and President of Tri-County Delivery Inc. for 31 years and later worked as a truck driver for Aim Logistics/Joshen Paper for 13 years. Rocky was a member of the Hello Brother Club, the Lions Club, the Hubbard Alumni Association and a former Mason. He was known to many as The Walking GPS and enjoyed baseball and golf.

Rocky especially loved his family and followed all of his grandkids activities, never missing one. He leaves his wife, the former Carol Spencer, whom he married July 31, 1965; two daughters, Cindy Johns and her husband Jim and Becky Bretz both of Hubbard; a son, Michael Bretz IV and his wife Kelly of Orlando, FL; a sister, Elaine Wikete of Brunswick, OH; 10 grandchildren, Morgan, Brett, Jared, Hannah, Noah, Bailey, Brock, Abbey, Michael V and Owen. Rocky was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Norman Bretz and Kenneth A. Bretz.

Family and friends may call on Sunday September 23, 2018 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home and also one hour prior to the funeral services on Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Hubbard. The family requests memorial donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Hubbard, 59 Orchard Ave. SE, Hubbard, OH 44425.
