Memorial services for Michael Wayne Ritter, 37, of Gilmer, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 16, 2019, in the Chapel of McWhorter Funeral Home with Bishop Corry Pilcher conducting. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Michael was born June 30, 1981, to James Dale Ritter and Paula Jean Cofer Ritter, in Gilmer, Texas, and passed away February 9, 2019, in Quitman, Texas.

He married Sherri Beasley on April 10, 2014 and she survives. Michael was a self-employed paint and body man. He is survived by his wife, Sherri Ritter; son, Chance Whitlock; daughter, Jenifer Almstedt; mother, Paula Ritter; brothers, Brian James Ritter, Mathew Frank Ritter, Christopher Boyd Webb; sister, Shana Denise Pritchett; and three grandchildren, Seamus Whitlock, Delilah Whitlock and Brook Almstedt.

He is preceded in death by his father, James Dale Ritter and brother, Gary Lynn Webb. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Michael Wayne Ritter family for unexpected costs during this difficult time. Lunch will be provided to the family at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1122 Pine St., Gilmer, Tx 75644.
