Graveside services for Robert Wayne Blalack, 85, of Gilmer will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, March 18, 2019 at Cherokee Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2:00 until 4:00 pm, Sunday, March 17, 2019, at McWhorter Funeral Home. Robert was born February 27, 1934, to Nathan A. Blalack and Alta L. Willard Blalack and passed from this life March 15, 2019 at his home.

He married Paula Davis Blalack, in 1953, in East Mountain. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Paula Blalack; sons and daughter-in-laws, Scott & Joyce Blalack, Gary & Angie Blalack, Mark & Scarlett Blalack and Andy Blalack; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Robert is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Patsy Davidson.

He worked all of his adult life in the tire industry. He started with General Tire and later opened Commercial Tire and Alignment. He finished up the last 25 years of his career with Southern Tire Mart.
