A private family visitation will be held for Dorothy Christine Gray, 90, of Gilmer, at McWhorter Funeral Home. Dorothy was born December 25, 1928, to O.B. McElyea and Bonnie Mae Thompson McElyea, in Jacksonville, Texas, and passed from this life March 18, 2019, in Longview, Texas. She married Billy Joe Gray and he preceded her in death.

Together they operated a dairy farm. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Baser, and husband, James; sons, Billy Gray and Bobby Gray; sisters, Ruby Fay Miers and Shirley Smith; brother, Louie McElyea; 6 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.
