Obituary for Mildred Ellen Butler Shrontz Mildred Ellen Butler Shrontz, 91, widow of Robert J. Shrontz, of Greer, SC, died Monday, October 22, 2018. Born in Lafayette, IN, daughter of the late Wilbur Warner and Ola Marguerite Drake Butler, she was a graduate of DePauw University with a BA in Music; a homemaker, former piano teacher and faithful member of Greer First Presbyterian Church. She loved her family, music, reading, cooking, sewing and gardening.

Surviving are a daughter, Marian S. Hyslop (Fred) of Greer, SC; a son, Darrin P. Shrontz (Michelle) of Carthage, TX; a daughter-in-law, Laurel B. Shrontz of Beaumont, TX; seven grandchildren, James Hyslop (Jill), Jonathan Hyslop (Sarah), Rachael White (Bradford), Cara Babino (Trey), Jac Shrontz, Asa Shrontz and Max Shrontz; six great-grandchildren, Ryan Hyslop, Julian Hyslop, Eleanor Hyslop, Branson White, Dean White and Erik Babino; a sister, Joanne Myers of Bend, OR and a brother, Kenneth Butler of Kingdom City, MO. She was predeceased by a son, Dr. Carl E. Shrontz, a brother, Edwin Butler and a sister, Lois Butler. A memorial service celebrating the life of Mildred will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 28, 2018, at Greer First Presbyterian Church Sanctuary conducted by Rev.

Dr. Brandi Casto-Waters and Rev. Dr. Steve Vance. The family will receive friends in the church Social Hall immediately following the service.
