West Columbia-Milford Leon Harmon, 86, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2018. Born April 27, 1932 in Lexington, SC, he was a son of the late Lloyd D. Harmon, Sr. and Nezzie Arnold Harmon. A member of New Hope Baptist Church, Mr. Harmon was a lifetime ironworker, and had retired as a plant superintendent from Owen Miscellaneous Metals.

He went on to work and retire from Hertz rentals after 20 years. An US NAVY veteran, Mr. Harmon was an avid Gamecock fan, he loved golfing, fishing, and going to the gym. Survivors include his life partner Mary Wigley, son Alan Harmon (Ginger); daughter Crystal Pound (Noel); grandchildren Dallas Harmon (Meghan), Langley Patterson (Daniel), Avery Wash; great grandchildren Harrison Michael Harmon, Carsyn Pound, Ashby Pound, Ensley Patterson, Lizzie Patterson, Sophie Patterson; special nephew Randy Harmon; along with other nephews and nieces.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Michael Harmon; brother Lloyd Harmon; and sisters Doris DeHart, and Betty Holt. Funeral services for Milford Harmon will be held 10 am, Saturday, June 16, 2018, at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel. Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Cemetery.

The family will greet friends prior to the service beginning at 9 am.
