Minnie Myrtle (Wooten) Larock, age 95, of Battle Creek, passed this earthly life on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital. She was born June 21, 1923 in Coffee County, Alabama the daughter of Isaac Henry and Mary Lou (Grimes) Wooten. She was employed with Alatex Shirt Company in Enterprise, Alabama as a seamstress and in later years Minnie worked for Sears Roebuck and Company in customer service.

She was a talented seamstress who could stitch up an article of clothing in no time. Minnie also loved crafts, gardening and painting. She was patient, kind, a devout Christian and always put others before herself.

When not working, she enjoyed being a mother, wife, grandmother and homemaker. Her garden produced more than enough for her family and she always had plenty for those less fortunate. On February 2, 1948 she was united in marriage to Joseph C. Larock and celebrated 65 years together.

Minnie was preceded in death by her husband, daughter Rosemary Fulling, sister Louise Gresch and her parents. She is survived by daughters: Vickey (Fred) Zeithammel of San Antonio, Texas and Anita (Larry) Eddins of Coffee Springs, Alabama; son-in-law Terry Fulling of Battle Creek; grandchildren: Chris Fulling, Phillip Joseph, Grant Zettel, Adam Zeithammel, Sarah Gerdes and CJ Zettel; eight great-grandchildren; three step grandchildren and eight step great-grandchildren. Heaven has gained an angel with a heart of gold.

Funeral services will be held 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2055 E. Columbia Avenue with Rev. Kjersten Priddy officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Humane Society of South Central Michigan or Trinity Lutheran Church. www.
