Myrna Jean Hardy, “Gitiganes” which means “Little Garden” age 73, of Ponemah, began her spiritual journey on Friday, April 27, 2018 in Red Lake, MN. She was born on August 10, 1944 in Red Lake, the daughter of Roy and Elsie (Johnson) Mosher. Myrna traveled to Washington D.C. where she did her internship and worked for the BIA for 5 years before returning home to Ponemah.

She continued to work within the Bureau in Red Lake for over 30 years. She and Clifford opened a store in Ponemah and ran it for 5 years before they had to close the doors. Myrna also worked for AmeriCorps as a director where she was able to put a lot of kids through college.

Many of the kids she helped would call her mom because she had such a kind manor. When she retired after 14 years, Myrna continued to help with children in the elementary school. She would get them involved on the computers and other school teachings.

She liked to watch the Game Show Network, going to the casino, playing bingo and her favorite thing of all; doing circle puzzles which she was doing right up to the last hour of her time here. Helping people was Myrna’s gift and she will be missed by all who knew her. The family that Myrna joins again are her parents; Roy Mosher, Sr. and Elsie Johnson, step parents; Anthony and Mary Wilson, brothers; Greg Johnson and Roy Mosher, Jr., sister; Karen Bowman and one daughter; Karen Goodteacher.
