It is with great sadness that the family of Nadean Elsie Wheeler, known to most as “Deanie”, announces her passing, on Friday January 18, 2019 at the age of 88 years. Born on Wednesday, November 19, 1930 in Dothan Alabama, Nadean joined her parents, Beulah Mae, Joseph Numa, and her older brother Derryl Dempsy Weekes in Heaven. Nadean was an accomplished pianist and worked as a gospel song director.

She learned to read music at the Stamps Baxter School of Music in Dallas Texas where she met her husband, Bobby Gene Wheeler in 1953. They married in June of 1953 in Alabama and moved to Oklahoma City for two years till Bob’s tour of Duty in the Air Force was completed. Nadean was an excellent seamstress and married in a gown she’d made herself.

In 1955, the Wheelers moved to Salinas, California. The Wheeler’s first son, Michael Aval, was born October 1, 1957 and her 2nd son, Ty Allen, was born April 18, 1959. Nadean and Bob earned their Real Estate licenses and started a Real Estate Business.

Nadean was a very successful Real Estate Broker for many years and won awards for being Monterey County’s Senior Broker. Nadean is survived by her former husband Bob, sons Michael and Ty, grandchildren, Briana, Allen, Lee (Bud), Dallas, Angelina, Dustan and Krystle, and 12 great-grandchildren. There will be a Memorial for Nadean on Saturday March 16, 2019 at the True Life Christian Fellowship Church, Lockwood Grange Hall at 2 pm.
