Obituary for Nan H. Golden Nan H. Golden, 99, of Willoughby, passed away on November 4, 2018. Born in Painesville on October 11, 1919, Nan was the daughter of Ralph O. and Ruby (Murphy) Hibschman. She graduated from Willoughby Union High School as salutatorian.

She was a graduate of the Oberlin College Conservatory and went on to earn her master’s degree from Columbia University. She was a music teacher who started her 37 year teaching career at Andrews School for Girls and retired from Willoughby-Eastlake City Schools. Nan’s many activities included playing bridge, playing tennis until she was 89, bowling, playing bingo, and taking trips to the casino.

She was active in many organizations including Willoughby Women’s Club, Delta Kappa Gamma, Burroughs Nature Club, and DAR. A friend to many who will be dearly missed. She is survived by her son, Bill (Connie) Golden and grandchildren Jackie (Tyler) Orabone and Jeff Golden.

Friends may call at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave. , Willoughby on Thursday, November 8 from 2 to 4 pm and from 6 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Friday, November 9 at Willoughby United Methodist Church, 15 E. Spaulding, Willoughby, OH.
