Nancy E. Skinner, 76, previously from North Vernon, passed away at 7:07 a.m. on Monday, September 3, 2018, at Covered Bridge Heath Campus in Seymour. A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018, at Bethel Baptist Church in North Vernon. Rev.

Ricky Persons will officiate. Burial will be in Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Born February 16, 1942, in Indianapolis, Nancy was the daughter of Sherman and Edna Luckey Pitzer. She was a graduate of North Vernon High School and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She had retired from MainSource Bank.

Nancy enjoyed reading outside, gardening, bird watching, church and friends. Nancy is survived by two daughters, Leslie (Mark) Sharer of Paris Crossing and Lisa (Roger) Kent of Macomb, IL; a brother, Jimmie Pitzer of North Vernon; two grandchildren, Sophia and Isaac Kent; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jamie Taylor Carter; a sister, Patricia Hall; and one grandson, Daniel Smith.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Hospice of Jennings County.
