A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Prairie Lea Cemetery beginning at 2 p.m. Nancy was born April 8, 1938 in Brenham to parents Eugene and Lillian Acker Knight. She married James Lee Hinze on July 20, 1958.

Nancy is survived by niece Beverly Peterson of Houston; nephews Larry Schroeder of San Marcos; Bill Schroeder (Cindy) of Pottsboro; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Betty and Glenwood Vierus; Bernice and Jerry Vaughn; Dotsy and Ronnie Luhn; Carolyn and Roney Nazaria; sister-in-law Margie Spinn, Trudie Hinze, as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Nancy is preceded in death by her husband James Lee Hinze; parents Eugene and Lillian Knight; sister, Jean Ann Schroeder, and brother-in-law Dover Schroeder. After retiring from Prudential Insurance Co., she joined her husband in the trucking business doing short hauls in Texas.

She enjoyed traveling and going to casinos in Louisiana. Nancy loved her family and will be deeply missed. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, sister, and special aunt.
