Nancy’s Obituary Nancy Lou Nicol Boyd, 76 of Cabot, passed away at her home Wednesday, January 2, 2019. She was born to the late Thad W. and Ann Hendricks Nicol in Blytheville, Arkansas on September 20, 1942. Mrs. Boyd attended Hall High School in Little Rock where she was a cheerleader before graduating from Russellville High School.

Nancy was crowned Queen of the Holly Ball at Gene Anthony’s Cotillion in 1955. On September 15, 1959 she married Mike Boyd in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Nancy was an avid volunteer, logging many hours at the Arkansas Art Center, schools and hospitals.

She also loved growing plants and flowers as well as being a gifted artist. Nancy was a member of the Fort Peachtree Chapter NSDAR. A genuinely beautiful person with a personality that could light up a room.

She is survived by her husband, Mike S. Boyd of Cabot; three children, Kelly Stuckey (Jim) of Atlanta, Georgia, Susan Barbee (Steve) of Little Rock, Stephen Boyd (Sheila) of Cabot; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren. Memorial service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home with Harvey Boyd officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home.
