Nancy Cheryl Yates, 73, of Frankfort, died early Tuesday morning at Frankfort Care and Rehabilitation. Burial will be at Grove Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville. A native of Louisville, she was an administrative assistant for the Kentucky Department of Health Services before retiring and was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Frankfort.

She is the daughter of the late Lavina Josephine and August Earl Roederer and is preceded in death by her husband, Edwin B. Yates. Nancy is survived by her daughter, Cathy Jo (David) Maxwell, of Plano, TX; two grandsons, Curtis and William Maxwell; brother, Richard (Lisa) Roederer, of Crestwood, KY; and sister, Linda Roederer, of Prospect, KY. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to Kosair Charities, P.O. Box 37370, Louisville, KY 40233-7370 .
