OBITUARY Napoleon “Nappy” R.C. Gossiaux July 12, 1928 – February 3, 2019 Napoleon “Nappy” R. C. Gossiaux, 90, passed away in River Ridge, Louisiana on February 3, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, August Gossiaux and Geertruida Leidelmeijer Gossiaux; wife, Hendrika W. Gossiaux; and son, Henry F. Gossiaux. He is survived by his children, Charles Gossiaux (Wil), Richard Gossiaux, Eric Gossiaux (Susan), Monique Gossiaux (Raymond), Patty Segura (Mitchell), Robbie Ganucheau (Gene); sister, Elenore Weathers; niece, Sylvia Schrijn; grandchildren, Nicole, Chrissy, Kim, Jeff, Mark, Brian, Logan, Erica, Emily, Elissah, Christopher, Sabrina, Michael, Travis, Nathan, Jesse, and Tabitha; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Killian, Sarah, Olivia, Lucas, Emily, Ella, Ava, Zachary, Aidan, Mallory, Kenzie, Keira, Kylee, Jaylen, Aidan, Parker, Zander, Aubrey, Natalee, Jason, and Dante; and nephew, Robert Weathers.

Nappy was a World War II survivor. He loved music, videography and photography (his video camera was his girlfriend), give the “hang loose” gesture, and singing and playing his ukulele. He was known to be the DOM, “dirty old man”.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Friday, February 15, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. , New Orleans. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and a graveside service will follow at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
