Nikora Doulos Fraley, 74 of Taneytown, died peacefully early Thursday, April 19, 2018, at Carroll Hospice’s Dove House, after a brief struggle with lung cancer. Born August 5, 1943, in Flushing, New York, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Grace Vogel Doulos. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Ellwood B. Fraley.

Nikora graduated from Gaithersburg High School and attended Radford College where she earned her bachelor’s degree. Nikora’s interests included gardening, quilting, traveling, and spending time with friends and family, especially her grandsons.

She was very active in her community and enjoyed helping others. Surviving are her children and spouses Veronica G. and Thomas Hennessey of Sterling, VA. , Stephen B. Fraley, of Taneytown, MD, and Nikora F. and Jack Boucher of Boyds, MD; grandsons Theodore and Justin Hennessey, and Michael and Nicholas Boucher.

The family will receive friends for a memorial service from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday, April 29 at 820 Horseshoe Lane, Taneytown, MD. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be sent to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Ave.
