Noe Perez Jr. December 21, 1952 – March 22, 2019 Share this obituary Upload Photo| View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences Noe Perez Jr., 66, beloved husband, son, father, grandfather and brother passed away peacefully on March 22, 2019 in San Antonio after fighting cancer for 3 years. Noe was born on December 21, 1952 in Biloxi, Mississippi to Noe Garcia Perez Sr and Estella Vianes Perez. Noe was predeceased by his father Noe Perez Sr. Noe is survived by his mother, Estella V. Perez; wife Gwen Perez; children, Angela, Marcus, Jayden, Jalicia, Annette, Jenny, Alyssa, and Tyler; granddaughters, Brey (Alvin) and Saffron; brothers, Paul, Robert (Laurie), Mike (Delilah) and Matthew (Joann).
Noe grew up in numerous states, Mississippi, North Dakota and Texas, where his father was a career United States Air Force Sargent. A graduate of Minot, North Dakota High School Noe also received an associate degree in Applied Science from Delmar College (Corpus Christi, TX) and a bachelor’s degree from Incarnate Word University (San Antonio, TX). Noe was one of the first Paramedics in the city of Victoria and later became a Respiratory Therapist.
After becoming registered as a Respiratory Therapist, he served as the Director of Respiratory Care for several hospitals, Cuero Community Hospital, Saint Vincent’s Community Hospital (Leadville, CO) and North East Methodist in San Antonio. Over a period of 30 years Noe’s and Gwen’s love of children led them to foster more than 30 children in their home. Those children will remember Noe and Gwen as someone who not only provided a secure place to live but also as someone who loved them.
Other than his passion for foster children he and his wife loved Colorado. They lived, worked and raised kids there. For more than 30 years he and his wife visited Colorado multiple times per year.
His love of Colorado extended to his family as he took his mother, brothers, nieces, nephews and friends along with him for adventures to the mountains and ski slopes. He was an active and dedicated member of United Methodist Church (Windcrest, TX). He and Gwen often volunteered there.
Services are scheduled for Saturday March 30, 2019 at Windcrest United Methodist Church (8101 Midcrown Dr, Windcrest, TX 78239). Visitation is scheduled for 11 A.M. with a memorial service to follow at 12 P.M. Reception to follow. The family would like to thank Noe’s colleagues in the Respiratory Care Department, Nursing and the physicians for their dedicated, professional care.
More importantly for treating Noe as their friend during his illness.
