Nora Ruark Nora Leokadia Ruark, 67, after a long struggle with lupus, went to be with her beloved husband Dennis on Thursday, September 13, 2018. Nora was born in Hamtramck on January 20, 1951, lived in Wayne County for most of her years and moved to Twining, MI for her final days. Nora spent many weekends and summers in Grindstone, MI where her family and friends enjoyed time together at the Harbor Marina.

Nora enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends, most especially during the holidays. She loved spending days in her garden growing beautiful flowers and vegetables that she would use in her recipes.

She also enjoyed making clothes for her granddaughter and friends. For many years leading up to her passing, she loved collecting books on both cooking and quilting. Nora was predeceased by her loving husband Dennis D. Ruark.

She is also predeceased by her Father Edward Radzikowski, her brothers Stanley and Robert Rodzikowski. Nora is survived by her mother Leokadia Corcoran, and her sister Ann Moore (Stephen Moore), Brothers Gerald, Theodore Corcoran and Leonard Helms, Daughter Tina Ruark-Baker (William Baker), Son Dennis Ruark (Beverly Ruark) and granddaughter Allison Ruark. A memorial service is to be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 12:00pm at the Lee Ramsay Funeral Home-Standish Chapel, located at 127 N. Forest St, Standish, MI 48658.

The family will greet family and friends from 10 am till time of service at 12 Noon. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked to please make donations to the Lupus Foundation at www. lupus.org.
