Norma Jean Amis April 23, 1942 – February 09, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Norma Jean Amis, 76, of Connersville, passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2019, at Majestic Healthcare in Connersville. She was born on April 23, 1942, in Jackson County, Kentucky, and is the daughter of Raymond Cox and Ruth Sparks Cox. On June 26, 1982, she married Andy Amis Jr. at Park Road Christian Center in Connersville.

They were able to enjoy 28 years together before he passed on August 9, 2010. She retired from Stant Manufacturing after 40 years of service. In her leisure time she enjoyed listening to Bluegrass music and attending the Bluegrass festivals.

She is survived by a brother, Darryl (Beverly) Cox, of Hillsboro, OH; two sisters, Janette Gay and Pauline (Charles) Carroll, both of Connersville; nieces and nephews, Chris, Kim, and Allen. Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a brother in law, Franklin Dallas Gay. Visitation for Norma will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W.8th Street, Connersville, Indiana 47331.

The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Lester Rose of Park Road Christian Center and Pastor Dustin Gay of Solid Rock Community Church officiating. Burial will follow in Dale Cemetery.
