Norman R. Schindel, 93, of Owensboro, passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born on November 16, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Fred Schindel and Mary Luptak Schindel. He had been employed as a fork lift driver for Libby Can Manufacturing and was a member of Peace Lutheran Church.

He is also preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Schindel; a sister, Clara Whitehead and two brothers, Larry Schindel and John Schindel, who died during World War II. Survivors include a daughter, Regina Stovall; two grandchildren, Danielle Stovall and Charla Kusbel; and a great-grandson, Dylan Whetstone. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 9, 2018 at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory.

Visitation is from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at noon on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Alsip, Illinois.
